ATHLETIC PLACEMENT SERVICES
Our focus at APS is to provide opportunities for players to continue to play baseball beyond high school. We are set up to maximize the player’s exposure to college recruiters. As recruiting budgets dwindle for many schools, the opportunity for coaches and scouts to see numerous prospects in one location has become imperative. We are on a mission to help every APS athlete know where they stand and how they can reach their full potential. It all starts with honest player evaluations. Once we see you, we can help you. Players learn how they stack up against players their age and take advantage of our development program by getting started now.
The first step you must take is to understanding the recruiting process. The 2018 high school recruiting class is almost complete, and college recruiters will be looking at the 2019 class and beyond.

What is THE PROCESS
HIgh School Senior/Junior College Player
If you are just beginning the process HS seniors and JC players still have the opportunity to be recruited, but they need to participate in as many showcases as possible to get noticed. The NCAA Quiet Period runs from early November through February 2018, meaning the NCAA DI and DII coaches are no longer allowed to recruit off campus, unless they are hired to work an event.
HIgh School Junior
The most productive time for high school players to be recruited is during their junior year. In this new era of recruiting, most players receive baseball scholarships during this time.
High school sophmore/freshman
It is important for young players to have vision and direction, to be motivated, to gain experience, to learn the recruiting process, and to develop confidence on the stage. Getting started early provides great benefit. The majority of players start the recruiting process their freshmen year.
Once players enter their high school years, APS gives them the advanced skills and training to keep them one step ahead of the competition. By the time players are juniors and seniors they are well groomed to enter their “recruiting years” for college. At these ages, APS participates in top college showcase events and works with leading recruiters from across the nation to place players who are in their last year or two of high school.
At APS we do not participate in many “travel ball” tournaments like most facilities in the area. We don’t care about winning a plastic trophy or getting t-shirts. We are in the business of getting players ready to compete for their high school teams and to be recruited by a college. This keeps our cost and your cost down. We are focused on delivering top-level baseball training, development and services for baseball players of all ages so they can take their game to the next level.
